Ole Sereni - Nairobi

the hotel is located close to airport and very next to park. the staff is really friendly. the room was really well kept. the food was excellent. over all really enjoyed the stay and would always return back here.

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Nairobi Game Park is one of the nicest ways to start a day. All of the staff made a really exceptional effort to make their guests feel at home and welcome. Full marks to the personnel and management for going the extra mile.

Staff were very attentive & were always happy to assist.

Rooms are very small, no separate bathroom & the hotel rate is too high as I have stayed in several other hotels in Nairobi who offer better value & good sized rooms..

Very Convenient location, between Airport & City

If you need to stay in Nairobi for 1 night and then head straight back to the Airport then i suggest this Hotel for its location. I received excellent help from the Tourist Desk, arranging and booking things over e-mail prior to arrival however once there i found the staff at the Reception Desk extremely unfriendly and they kept us waiting for ages to check in after.

The service in the Restaurant was probably the slowest i have ever received, it took at least 30-40 minutes to receive anything, including a glass of water.. i think they were overly busy when we were there but there were no apologies..

On arrival to the hotel the reception staff were very friendly and their service was excellent. The room was clean and provided all the required facilities as advertised on the website. The restaurant / dining room staff were very helpful advising me on what was available. The buffet breakfast was superb. A wide choice of food selections were available. The gym was clean, towels were provided, the staff member was very helpful and the gym was well equipped. On departure a hotel taxi was available which allowed me to depart for the airport hassle free. Overall my overnight stay in the Ole Sereni Hotel was an excellent experience.

Really enjoyed my time here and would recommend this place. The restaurant was very comfortable with view over the park here, I had delicious dishes. The location was beautiful, the rooms were spotless and practical. A mall and a market were right next door.

its conveiniance to the airport

The hotel is exquisite, well designed and maintained, and situated on the verge of the gamepark- giving guests the best view in Nairobi in my opinion. The fresh cool breeze from the reserve when sitting on the balcony and enjoying dinner is sort of heavenly. Personnel are friendly, polite and totally ready to help you out in almost anything you need. Top level of service.

Expensive, but worth it.

An unexpected upgrade to luxury

Our arrival was met with a fine surprise as the staff graciously upgraded us to a magnificent suite. The spacious rooms and amazing views.

Unfortunately, the initial confusion about our room type caused a stressful start. It took time to resolve.

Friendly staff, very comfortable.

Piped load music, this went on throughout the night in the area below our room, sleep was very difficult! Initially tried to put us in a room without a view contary to our booking.

Our room over looked Game park - one night we saw 22 giraffe from our window. Breakfast was excellent - really good choice of fresh quality food.

Not enough sun loungers by pool - only 8 for Hotel of over 100 rooms is not enough. Some of staff seemed very slow to repond to our needs. Eg towel at pool, menu in snack bar, cutlery to eat our food, top up of coffee, hot water at breakfast, Some staff seemed to be busy with head down clearing tables - little or no eye contact - seemed as if serving was a job not a pleasure. Hotel taxi forgot to meet us from airport even though they had sent us a confirmation letter a week earlier. Disappointed with customer service in resolving this situation.

Recommend for a weekend escape

Comfortable room, convenient location, with a lovely bar overlooking the park where I enjoyed a great drink after relaxing by the outdoor swimming pool, making it a perfect spot for a short stay.

It's not obvious that some amenities come with extra costs.
